☆Marceline -What was Missing-, Adventure Time☆
My punk rock vampire queen Marceline~! I originally made this for a Halloween costume, but loved it so much that I brought her to cons. All the clothes were bought. The boots were a birthday gift. They’re not canon, but I figured she would be the type to wear bright red Docs. Marceline was also my first experience with bodypaint. The guitar was made out of styrofoam blocks with dowels in between for support. I carved the giant block into the shape of her axe. Afterwards, the whole thing was wrapped in layers of bright red duct tape. The details were then made out of various knick knacks I had on hand. Since this costume originated as a simple Halloween costume, I wasn’t concerned about the axe looking too “crafty”. I had intended to make a more legit axe when I brought her to cons, but I wound up kind of digging the more cartoony look of my styrofoam/duct tape guitar, so I kept it.
