☆Thief king Bakura, Yugioh

Thief King Bakura~! As much as I love Bakura, his Thief King form was never on my radar to cosplay since I wasn’t sure I would be able to pull it off. Thief King Bakura is a big, buff man and I..am not big or buff lol. I went to ColossalCon East 2018 and the African inspired theme for the Kalahari Resort inspired me to just go for it since the setting would be perfect for photos. He wound up actually being my favorite costume that I made in 2019. Not only was his outfit fairly simple construction-wise, he was also just really fun to wear. The whole garment was self patterned. Making the aesthetic choice not to hem most of my raw edges definitely made the sewing process go much faster for me. All the jewelry was bought. The Millennium Ring seen in these photos is actually my second iteration of it. My first one sadly slipped off and crashed to the floor and shattered into pieces. I was luckily able to get it reprinted. I am so much happier with the Ring the second time around. Instead of painting it, this time it was colored gold with rub n’ buff. It was way less time consuming and I didn’t have to deal with sealing it. I took extra precautions when wearing the Ring this time, so that it doesn’t fall off again. Overall, I’m much more satisfied with my Millennium Ring now.
