☆Winter Soldier, Captain America

Some time in 2014/2015, I fell really deep into the Captain America fandom and I really wanted to try my hand at creating a Winter Soldier costume. He’s very different from my usual costumes and I actually want to redo it using the skills that I have now, but I think this costume came out pretty cool. I definitely felt very badass walking in this assassin’s boots. For the jacket I modified an already existing leather jacket by sewing on leather straps. Pants and accessories were purchased. The mask was a mesh paintball mask that I modified with fabric and craft foam. My Winter Soldier arm is made out of EVA foam. I have since made a better, more streamlined, sleeker version that’s easier to move in. My first arm was absolutely not perfect, but I definitely learned a lot from my process and was able to remake a new arm that’s more to my liking. My big scary gun was a prop I borrowed from a friend.

Completed: I’m thinking of remaking him entirely eventually. First worn February 2015.
