Hail and Well Met~! Welcome to my shiny new blog~! I’m Java! I’m also known as Alyssa, depending on how I was introduced to you. I’m okay with going by either, so feel free to address me as you wish! I’m a New York based cosplayer that frequents cons along the East Coast. I’ve been cosplaying since 2003, but really started getting into it at around 2011, when I started making my own stuff and doing photoshoots. I’ve been in this hobby for a pretty long time, but in recent years, I’ve gotten into the habit of documenting my crafting process and my work. I’ve also picked up a few craftmanship awards along the way ;v;
You can see some of my work in the “Cosplay” section above. I currently have up to 2017 open and available for viewing~ The years prior to that are password blocked for now. I do have full intention of sharing the costumes from those years though, but I will be revealing those gradually.
I’ve actually been working on this site on and off since January 2019, but now I’m finally ready to make this public. Also, yes, the url is my actual name. I do eventually have plans to rebrand it to match all my social media handles, but that will have to wait til some time in the future for now. I made this site mostly to finally have a place where all photos of my work can just exist. I also wanted a place where I could properly document any WIP that I have. I used to be really into long-form blogging (oh how I miss Livejournal days) and I figured the blog here would be a pretty good way to pick that back up again. I have so many plans for future posts here, so please look forward to it! :D They’re most likely going to be cosplay-related. I yell/post more about my interests on my twitter or instagram mostly lol. As of right now, I mostly yell about Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Promare.
